Celebrate Arbor Day where it
all started
April 26-28 | Arbor Lodge State Historical Park
Celebrate the tree planter's holiday where it all began at the
mansion home of Arbor Day founder J. Sterling Morton. Enjoy
free admission to the mansion April 26-28, and on Saturday
and Sunday you can also take in musical entertainment,
living history, local Arbor Day poetry and Arbor Day history.
Spring turkey shotgun
season
Starts April 13 | Statewide
Enjoy the best turkey hunting in the nation,
with plentiful and aff ordable permits, during
the 2019 shotgun and archery seasons. The
youth season opens April 6.
Stay in a cabin or lodge room
Throughout the month | Various locations
April is the last month to take advantage of winter lodging
rates at a Nebraska state park. Rates are 30 percent less
than at any other time of year. Book a reservation online
