Camp at a Nebraska state park Throughout the month | Statewide Winter camping is a totally diff erent experience. This year, try it at a state park. Fort Kearny and Branched Oak state recreation areas, Indian Cave State Park, and parks with ice fi shing access are popular. Keep in mind that in most cases, water, restrooms and sometimes electricity is not available, so check ahead. Also call ahead to see if snowy roads and campsites are accessible. Go goose hunting Seasons vary | Statewide Goose hunting can make for a great day of hunting with family and friends. Strategies for success include scouting for areas where geese frequently feed; using a variety of decoys, including silhouettes, full-body, shells and socks; and selecting a couple of people to call while the rest of the group calls sparingly or not at all.
