Dove hunting at Osage
Wildlife Management Area
Starting Sept. 1
Osage has long been a popular place for dove hunting.
Annually, 50-60 acres of agricultural fi elds are devoted to
sunfl ower and wheat plantings, which attract numerous
mourning doves. Prime hunting spots are next to sunfl ower
or wheat stubble fi elds, while setting up within fl yways
between roosting, feeding and watering areas also provide
good opportunities.
