Fishing the Interstate • A Guide to the I-80 Lakes SRA. GPS coordinates: 41.200039, -101.664155 Sutherland Reservoir SRA This 3,000-acre reservoir is the fi rst canal reservoir downstream from lakes McConaughy and Ogallala. It is used for cooling of the Nebraska Public Power District's Gerald Gentleman Station. Fish species: Channel catfi sh, walleye, white bass, wiper, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, freshwater drum. Amenities: Concrete boat ramp, accessible pier, fi sh-cleaning station. Directions: From Exit 158 at Sutherland, go south on Highway 25 1 mile, turn left on Tower Road. Follow Tower Road around the east side of the lake, over the canal and turn right to enter the SRA. Alternative: Continue south on Highway 25 about 4 miles to the boat ramp on the southwest shore. GPS coordinates: 41.102972, -101.102336 Anglers fi sh Lake McConaughy in Keith County at sunset.
