Early sandhills hunts, 1910
This photo shows ducks and grouse
from the Edwards Ranch in Cherry
County. This picture was taken around
1910. Left to right: Oscar Anderson
from Moline, Illinois, Charlie, Joe and
Ellis Edwards.
Walter Adamson was the grandfather
of Marv and me. Our dad, Elvin
Adamson, also served as a Game and
Parks commissioner and was a state
senator. Joe Edwards and Dan Adamson
were our great-grandfathers.

Raccoon hunt near Falls City, 1944
My dad, Dale Linderman, with a
nice size raccoon he shot with the
rifle he is holding (and now I am the
proud owner of the rifle, which he
purchased at the Western Auto store
in Falls City).
The picture was taken on the
place they farmed a few miles south
of Falls City. Years later in the early
'70s, I worked on that same farm but
it was on the construction of a dam
for the same family that owned it
when this was taken.
