Spring turkey shotgun
season
April 15 to May 31 | Statewide
There's nothing more exciting in the spring
than calling in a turkey and seeing him
strut in a full display. Nebraska has lots of
opportunities across the state, so be sure
to scout and fi nd the best spots near you.
Remember to bring a new hunter with you
and enter the Take 'em Hunting challenge
for a chance at prizes; see details at
OutdoorNebraska.org/TakeEmHunting.

Look for blooming
pasque fl owers
Throughout the month | Statewide
Easily recognized by its purple fl ower and
hairy leaves and stems, pasque fl owers are
one of the earliest fl owers that you can
see blooming in the spring. These small
purple fl owers are usually found in northern
Nebraska and along the Niobrara River.
Normally found in prairies, they can bloom
anywhere with lots of sun and dry, rocky
soil.
