HISTORY NEBRASKA, RG3348-6-30 Two months before Baysdorfer's fi rst fl ight, Arch Hoxsey survived crashing his Wright fl yer into an animal barn at the Nebraska State Fair on Sept. 6, 1910. Hoxsey died in Los Angeles on Dec. 31 while trying to set a fl ight altitude record. Although not from Nebraska himself, Hoxsey shares a cemetery plot with his father in Atkinson, Nebraska.
