Participate in the light goose conservation order for a fun, challenging hunt.
Nebraska is a vital spot that sees hundreds of thousands of snow geese pass
through on their way north to nesting grounds. Watch the weather forecast and
keep an eye on where water is thawing. Also, make sure to handle and prepare
your harvest correctly to help ensure a delicious meal. See more details at

Fish for trout
at Lake Ogallala
All year | Lake Ogallala State Recreation Area
Trout are a cold-water species, so they're a good choice
for anglers this month while waters are still chilly.
Opportunities for rainbow and tiger trout can be found
at Lake Ogallala. The lake was renovated last fall and
restocked with trout, which have likely grown to a good
size at this point, said fi sheries biologist Daryl Bauer.
