JEFF KURRUS, NEBRASKALAND Fish for trout at Lake Ogallala All year | Lake Ogallala State Recreation Area Trout are a cold-water species, so they're a good choice for anglers this month while waters are still chilly. Opportunities for rainbow and tiger trout can be found at Lake Ogallala. The lake was renovated last fall and restocked with trout, which have likely grown to a good size at this point, said fi sheries biologist Daryl Bauer.
