November 2024 • Nebraskaland 61 Pheasant hunting near Laurel, 1942 This is a photo that appeared in Hunting and Fishing Magazine in February1943. The hunter on the left with the pipe is my late father, Louis Hetherington, who wrote the article about Nebraska being a "hunter's paradise." He and the other hunters were from Beatrice, my hometown.
