F R O M A D R E A M T O R E A L I T Y A T V E N T U R E P A R K S The Nebraska Game and Parks Foundation and Commission embarked on an incredible journey of collaboration — engaging with our park visitors, students, staff, and donors to dream up the future of our state parks. Over the past 100 years, these parks have welcomed tens of millions of guests, and we envisioned ways to bring even more people together to experience the beauty and excitement they offer. Our park guests are as diverse as Nebraska's landscapes, each seeking unique experiences beyond just a walk in the park. Today's visitors crave excitement and adventure, serene escapes, meaningful interactions with nature, and educational experiences. Nebraska's Venture Parks — a four-park complex — is the most successful public- private partnership in the history of our Commission. This initiative has united donors, communities, schools, educators, park guests, staff, and volunteers to invest in our parks' future, creating a vibrant complex that will attract visitors for generations. Each park within the complex features fi ve zones designed for imagination, education, discovery, serenity, and adventure. The improvements and new amenities added are remarkable. From a state- of-the-art education center to modern, family-friendly camping facilities, swimming areas, aquatic play zones, playgrounds, Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible parking, enhanced trails, and much more. The boost in lodging, visitor numbers, and economic impact from increased promotion by our tourism partners is signifi cant. Some attractions have even been voted among the best in Nebraska by local communities and park guests. Thank you for joining us on this remarkable journey, making our state parks even better. Together, we are creating spaces for everyone to learn, explore, and play. A L L W I T H I N A 1 5 - M I N U T E D R I V E The Venture Park Complex sits on the Platte River.
