What to Do in March
View red fox pups
March through early June | Statewide
Commonly found in urban areas, these
fascinating native animals are a delight to
watch as pups, busy wrestling and playing as
their parents care for them in the early months
of their lives. Litters often range from one to
seven, typically born from late February into
April. Dens can be anything from a dug hole
in a fi eld or repurposed badger den to a space
underneath a shed, garage or old barn. View
pups from a distance, use binoculars and keep
your dogs leashed.
