22 Nebraskaland • July 2025 We can wake up early and adventure late, but come midday there's only one place to be: in or near water. Yet this commodity has been hard to come by the past couple of years across the state. Drought has affected many of our state parks, but a plethora of locations remain where we can stake our tents or park our RVs near the one place that forever draws us when a person couldn't imagine it getting any hotter — water.
