ummit Lake State Recreation Area in northeastern Nebraska's
Burt County is the answer for many modern nature enthusiasts
with little spare time. It's close but not too close to home for
many, has activities to satisfy every family member and is eye-
catching for all who visit.
But let's be honest. It's the fishing that garners the most attention.
Summit Lake
Summit Lake State Recreation Area in Burt County offers 345
acres of land, including 190 acres of water with a swim beach,
two boat ramps and two miles of hiking trails. At the Bob
Eckdahl Campground, there are also 30 camping pads with
electrical hookups, 15 non-electric pads and 22 other non-pad
sites
