A statewide series of turkey hunting workshops last fall was well attended, as was a demonstration in Lincoln on how to field dress a deer. She, Rawlinson and others at Game and Parks are planning more workshops and demonstrations this year. And just as it has for the past 40 years, hunter education will continue to evolve to meet the needs of new hunters. Firearm hunter education is required in Nebraska for all hunters ages 12 through 29 who: Hunt any game species with a firearm or air gun. Hunters must carry proof of successful completion while hunting.
