Ride the Cowboy Trail
by Horse
By Jenny Nguyen
Challenge yourself and your horse on this four-day,
86-mile journey from Valentine to Stuart while experiencing
the beauty of northern Nebraska this October. We will travel
approximately 20 miles per day, and invite experienced
riders to join us for all or part of the trail.
Riders are responsible for their own horse(s), travel, board,
feed, trailering, tack and equipment, camping/hotel, food,
water, fees, etc. All horses must be Coggins tested and up-to-

From Adams to Antelope, Scottsbluff to Sheridan, Dundy
to Douglas – each of Nebraska's 93 counties is home to
historic and hidden treasures from the past. Photographers
are being called to submit original photographs for an
exhibit entitled "Bridges: Sharing Our Past to Enrich the
Future" that will serve as a bridge to link history, generations
and culture.
The call runs through Jan. 4, 2016
and is sponsored by the Hildegard
Center for the Arts, in partnership with
the Nebraska Tourism Commission
and the Nebraska State Historical
Society.
All submitted photos will become
part of a virtual exhibit, and selected
photos will be included in a statewide
traveling exhibit to celebrate Nebraska's
Sesquicentennial in 2017, may appear
in Nebraska Tourism printed materials
and will be featured in a digital
catalog.
Judging will be conducted by
NEBRASKAland contributor Joel
Sartore, George Tuck and Steve and
Bobbie Olson. For details and to submit
photos, visit Hildegardcenter.org. ■
