People like water. Throughout Nebraska, and the world, they are drawn to it. The coasts, lakeshores and riverbanks are prime real estate. Many who can't live there make it a point to vacation there, setting up a temporary home in a cabin, camper or tent near water. The prime sites are the ones where you can take a few steps and dip your toes and cool off on a hot summer's night. Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area has plenty such sites.
