JULY 2016 • NEBRASKAland 5 Nebraska Farm LIfe. Photo by Lindsey Keller. Scotts Bluff National Monument in Gering. Photo by Lindsey Keller. Toadstool Geologic Park. Submitted by Lindsey Keller of Lincoln. Dear NEBRASKAland, My son Isaac shot his first deer this year near Long Pine, Nebraska, hunting with me, his grandfather and uncle. All four of us had a wonderful time. Thanks to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for making it as easy and affordable as possible to get youngsters interested in hunting. We have to wait 11 months, but we are already looking forward to next season! Until then, we will enjoy the memories and chew on deer jerky. Sincerely, Bradley King Urbandale, Iowa T d t l G l i P k S b itt d b Li d K ll f Li l This jackrabbit was photographed by Brandi Hild on her property north of Brady.
