roads in the Pine Ridge and Wildcat
Hills, especially near crop fields
where herds are feeding at night.
Late-September through October

Go clamming if southwest
reservoirs are lowered for
maintenance on boat ramps, shore
lines and docks. Locations include

Lake WMA and Johnson Lake SRA.
Clams can also be found in the Tri-
County Canal system if water levels
are drawn down, and provide an
interesting meal when purged
several days before cooking.
