What to Do in November
Archery deer hunting
Season is Sept. 1 to Dec. 31 | Statewide
The week before the fi rearm deer season, which
is Nov. 15-23, is a Nebraska archery hunter's
most intriguing days of the year. Hunters
looking to catch a buck moving in rut will spend
time afi eld as most crops are usually out and
bucks are on the move during their breeding
season. Plan to hunt at diff erent times of the
day, or all day, as the weather and action are
perfect reasons to be in the stand.

Fall Fishing
Through November | Statewide
"Fall provides some of the best open-
water fi shing of the year," said Daryl
Bauer, Nebraska Game and Parks
fi sheries outreach program manager,
who enjoys fall fi shing because of
the lack of competition with other
anglers. Fish behavior in the fall is
largely dictated by the need to feed,
and most species will be in their best
body condition. "Big baits for big
fi sh" is true for fall.
