ERIC FOWLER, NEBRASKALAND Begin a Birding List All Month Long | Statewide Most serious birders, or birdwatchers, keep lists of how many different species of birds they have identified. March in Nebraska can be a great time to start your list — whether it be a life list, state list, county list, year list, day list, yard list, trip list or just about any type of list you can imagine. Because of so many species returning in the spring, each passing week will offer new opportunities to add species to whatever list you choose to pursue. TEXT BY JOEL JORGENSEN.
