Coon Hunt near Bradshaw, 1928
The "Harlow Boys" at the end of a coon hunt on the family farm near Bradshaw
on Feb. 11, 1928. From left to right are twins Dean and Dewey, age 10; Glenn, my
father-in-law, age 6; and Russell, age 12. The dogs, from left to right, are Joe, Jack
and Tommy. Notes on the back of the photo indicate that one raccoon was 18
pounds and the other was 19 pounds. Glenn talked about the coon hunts from when
he was a boy and that he used a double-barrel .410 shotgun. I still have that old
shotgun. They sold the hides to a man in York.
