N Enjoy fall hunting Various dates | Statewide Hunting opportunities abound in August and September. Multiple seasons are opening, such as archery deer, archery and muzzleloader antelope, elk, turkey, dove, grouse and teal. Observe and photograph butterfl ies Dates and locations vary by species With warmer temperatures and fl owers blooming, now is a good time to observe butterfl ies. The best times tend to be on clear, warm days around midday, at locations with lots of fl owers. Species you can fi nd statewide at this time include the monarch, black swallowtail, red admiral and common checkered-skipper.
