Set your sights on the Pine Ridge this fall and spend some time scouting to fi nd the best spots. Plenty of public access land is available. Hunting food sources can be good in the morning and evening, and during midday, hunt the timber where bucks may be chasing does. JUSTIN HAAG, NEBRASKALAND Feed your backyard birds Throughout the month | Statewide You can make a big diff erence for your backyard birds by feeding them this winter. Black oil sunfl ower seeds and Nyger thistle seed are great options. Try diff erent feeder types to attract diff erent kinds of birds, and make sure to leave out some water as well.
