If you were born after Dec. 31, 1985, you need to complete a boating safety course. Several class options are available, including an online format, so head to OutdoorNebraska.org/ BoaterEducation to sign up. ERIC FOWLER, NEBRASKALAND View migrating waterfowl at Branched Oak Lake All month if lake not frozen over With approximately 1,800 acres of water, Branched Oak is the biggest reservoir in Lancaster County, making it attractive to migrating waterfowl when not frozen over. Vast fl ocks of snow geese visit in early March, as well as Canada and greater white-fronted geese. Bring binoculars and check it out! Get out and take advantage of them! Trout fi shing is especially great for kids because they are relatively easy to catch, so bring the family.
