Do some planning to make it a great experience: Choose a day with pleasant weather and bring snacks. Dress appropriately, with warm clothes, boots and extra gloves. An ice shelter brings added comfort if you have it. If the fi sh aren't biting, kids can still have fun throwing snowballs, ice skating, playing tag or tossing a ball around.
