A bioblitz allows you to work alongside wildlife experts, discovering and documenting as many plant and animal species as possible in a single location across a short period of time. No experience is necessary, all ages are welcome, and the data you collect contributes to real scientifi c research. Bring water, sunscreen and bug spray, and dress for the outdoors, with comfortable walking shoes. RENAE BLUM, NEBRASKALAND Catch smallmouth bass in the Missouri River Peak is May and June Northeastern Nebraska The Missouri River in northeastern Nebraska — specifi cally the stretch above Lewis and Clark Lake — is considered the best smallmouth bass fi shery in the state, and right now is a peak time to catch them. As they prepare to spawn, the bass will be relatively shallow, active and easier to catch.
