Fishing at Enders Reservoir, 1963
Picture taken on our family farm
south of Wauneta in 1963, I believe. We
pulled these lunkers — white bass and
one walleye — from Enders Reservoir
in southwestern Nebraska. Farm work
always came first, and we didn't get to
fish often, but when we did, it was like
Christmas Day. From left: me; my sister,
Kim, who joined us for the picture; my
dad, Neil; and brother, Terry.
They are gone now; they left way too
early for that big fishing hole in the sky.
