Yutan are a short walk from the area's trout
lake, a spring favorite for visitors.

many May flowers, a Pasque flower comes
as a welcome sight as winter loosens its
grip at Chadron State Park. Known also as
the Easter plant, its flowering begins as
early as late March and peaks in April. In
Nebraska, the flower is found primarily in
the northern Panhandle.

increasingly familiar sight in Nebraska
during their annual northward migration
which runs from March-May.
