Outdoor Plates
Gaylan Abood's administrative
assistant thought he hunted so much he
should have a plate that quantified it.
The Elkhorn man grew up in Lexington
shooting rabbits and squirrels with
his .22-cal. rifle and now hunts about
everything Nebraska has to offer,
including quail, pheasant, ducks, geese,
turkey, deer and varmints.
Ron Bilstein of Battle Creek submitted this trail camera photo of a tom turkey in
full strut.
Tim Roddy of Omaha started hunting
in his 20s and quickly became obsessed
with training his Labrador retrievers
and hunting pheasants and quail. He
now counts deer and turkey hunting
among his pursuits.
If you have a unique outdoor
message plate you would like to share,
or know someone who does, e-mail
a photo of it (high-resolution, JPEG
format only, please) to Eric.Fowler@
Nebraska.gov, along with your name,
hometown and a brief description of
the interests expressed on your license
plate.
Kathryn Katz sent us this image entitled "Friday Night Lights."
Richard Jones submitted this photo of NEBRASKAland's March 2015 cover.
Steve Kelsay of Auburn cut his teeth
on farm pond bass at a young age, but
later turned his attention to walleyes
and has since spent many days and
dollars chasing "Ole Marble Eyes" on
reservoirs in Nebraska and elsewhere.
