Left: Bobby Nelson of Omaha combs a food plot and brush
in search of pheasants and quail.
Below: Morning dew glistens on bright red sumac leaves.
Opposite: Sun streams into a woodland at Olive Creek Lake
SRA.
In the 400-plus acres of
grasslands, food plots and tree
rows around the lake, hunters
pursue quail and pheasants. In
the numerous larger woodlots,
they're after deer, turkey,
rabbits and squirrels. A few
pack in a bag of decoys and
hunt ducks and geese.
Whatever your reason for
coming, it's worth it.
