Enclosed is a picture of my father Paul "Bus" Gaver
on the left and his best friend Ralph "Ducky" Drake on
the right. This hunt took place on Nov. 18, 1953 and was
unique because of the Canada geese taken. They were
very rare where we hunted in those days.
My dad and Ducky hunted this same spot for 35 years.
It was the Paul Donogue farm just northwest of Duncan.
I and my brothers all have great memories of growing up
on the Loup River.
Keep up the good work on your magazine, I have been
a fan since the 1960s.
