PORTRAITS FROM THE PAST
Harlan County Lake family camp,
Early 1990s
The Gunther family has been camping
and fishing at Harlan County Lake for
over 50 years. We always go in August
when the white bass are schooling,
and we can chase the gulls. At first we
camped in tents three days. Now, we
stay a week. Some years the fishing
was excellent and some years not so
good, but we always had fun.

Opening day bucks, November 1991
As I was going through some old photos, I came across this photo of my three sons the year they
all shot a buck the opening day of deer season. From left to right: Jeff, Brett and Chris Meyer. We
have been enjoying your magazine for so many years. The articles and pictures are amazing!
