THE LAST STOP
By Jeff Kurrus
INSTAGRAM
After an outdoor excursion, it's common practice to share
a photo or two with family, friends and the people that made
that excursion possible in the fi rst place – the landowners
and public land caretakers who believe in maintaining
quality habitat.
In recent months, I've added another recipient to the list –
Instagram. This app has more than 800 million active users,
including the entire staff at Nebraskaland Magazine, and is an
awe-inspiring motivator for the outdoor enthusiast.
Easy to use for both the photographer and the viewer, this
app has shown me the fi ne work that so many Nebraska
photographers are doing on a day-to-day basis.
Personally, it's allowed me to not only chronicle my time
afi eld, but also provide a landing spot for so many photos
that may never fi nd their way to the pages of Nebraskaland
Magazine.
If you haven't already, check it out.
Also, add a few more Nebraskaland photographers to
your list: @juliegeiser, @eric.fowler1, @ridgerunner308
(Justin Haag), @foodforhunters (Jenny Wheatley),
@prairieecologist (Chris Helzer), @mforsbergphoto,
@1.ryan.sparks.1 and @jeff kurrus.
We'll do our best to make sure you keep checking back for
more.
