Bring your cross-country skis, hiking boots and, of course, cameras, and take advantage of the many activities amid beautiful scenery this park has to offer. Nov. 28 Ponca State Park, Ponca Learn the Basics of Birding A series of workshops at the Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln will help new birders learn the basics. Learn how to attract birds to your backyard this winter during the first of these workshops on Thursday, Nov. 5. Learn about basic bird ID on Thursday. Nov. 12.
