Our three pits, with four men each, usually limited out by 10:30 a.m. in the 1970s. Then we would go to this garage and, with everyone
helping, the geese were cleaned in a couple hours. We did this for several days over several years with the same crew.

Pictured is my dad, Homer Clemens,
of Neligh, Nebraska, returning from
checking his trapline.
Dad carried a 1911 Remington auto 12
gauge and was a crack shot. He always
brought home ducks and pheasants he
shot while trapping.
Note the year of his license plate
[1951]. He bought his first new vehicle
ever in 1950.
