Olive Creek Lake SRA Photos and story by Eric Fowler Olive Creek Lake State Recreation Area and Wildlife Management Area is a quiet place on most mornings. It's even quieter in the fall. During the summer, it draws visitors from nearby towns like Kramer, Crete, Hallam and Wilber, as well as city folks from Lincoln. Some come for the day and a picnic. Others, including a cadre of Scout groups, come to pitch a tent or park a camper. They have to rough it a bit: there are no electrical hookups at the least developed of the Salt Valley lakes, which is exactly what many are looking for.
