Morels for Days
Morel mushroom hunting is like a
rite of passage for anyone interested in
cooking wild food. It certainly was for
me. Every spring, I get so excited that
I see them in my sleep. While morels
have been found in all 50 states, they
are most abundant in the Midwest
and eastward. We are so lucky that
this special fungus has a presence in
Nebraska. ■
