Three Dollar Bill
While going through some old
stuff, I found this, and I didn't want to
throw it away! It has something to do
with the Nebraska Centennial.
My late husband and sons were
always interested in "old memories."
I hope it has some importance. If
so, I hope to hear from you.

Dear Louis,
It appears you have a 1967 Bank
of De Soto three dollar bill note – a
Nebraska Centennial collectible
souvenir.
This novelty currency was produced
for the 1967 Nebraska Centennial.
The slogan on back reads "A
Three Dollar Bill is only 'different'
Nebraska is 'Unique'."
This is a reproduction of the
"Wildcat" notes issued by the
Nebraska banks in the 1850s.

Solar Eclipse
I think Nebraska might
be the premier state to view
the solar eclipse!
I don't think there is a
more diversified published
outdoor magazine
in the country than
NEBRASKAland.

Just got the Aug/Sept.
issue today. I enjoyed the
"Total Eclipse of the Sun"
article. I am located 50 miles
from Carbondale, Illinois,
which is the spot of longest
totality in the country.
Sincerely,
