6 NEBRASKAland • OCTOBER 2017 Margaret Foster of Lincoln shot this photo of "Mr. Naughty," a squirrel that continually raids her birdfeeders and garage. Tiara Brown of Omaha shared this image of a resident horned owl watching over Walnut Grove Park in Millard. Shelly Hellbusch of Belgrade shared this photo of a "beautiful, old granary" in Nance County. These Canada geese flew by Rachel Lech near Atkinson. "This nest was blown out of its tree during a storm by a suspected, but unconfirmed, tornado in Cedar Creek on June 16 near Joe Fuxa's home," said photographer Karen Smith of Omaha. "His wife, Terri, and daughter, Hanna, reacted with MacGyver-meets-Audubon ingenuity by attaching the nest back in the tree with a fish hook and diaper pin."
