Then there was that year trapper Hugh Glass
came running, with grizzly wounds across his
hide. And never was there a shortage of scurvy, and
Indian peace treaties, you'd fi nd.
The next story will be told on Nov. 4, and rumor
speaks of a keel boat carrying fort supplies. It may
be the last shipment before old man winter comes,
and for many months, he will long reside.
