With 862 images submitted, the 2017
NEBRASKAland Magazine Photo Contest
featured another year of inspiring images in the
categories of Wildlife, Flora, Scenic, Recreation
and Youth, displaying the beauty of the entire
state.
Judged by NEBRASKAland Magazine's
staff, paring down the images was diffi cult –
especially the Best of Show winner, which went
to Derrill E. Grabenstein and his image "Canoe
on Bluestem Lake."
In addition, the Readers' Choice Award went
to Samuel Raetz for his image, "A Blizzard
Duck Hunt Near North Platte." This photograph
also won second place in the Recreation
category.
We thank everyone who has made this year's
contest such a success, and we look forward
to seeing even more outstanding photographs
entered next year.
