backwaters of Niobrara Confl uence Wildlife
Management Area on the Missouri River.
F
rom the hilltop lodge at Niobrara State Park,
one can see for miles up, down and across the
picturesque Missouri River. Now, thanks to a
generous donor and other partners, much of the
land and wetlands you can see in front of the
park will forever be in the public trust, part of
Niobrara Confluence Wildlife Management Area.
Stretching from the mouth of the Niobrara
River 3 miles up this relatively unspoiled
segment of the Missouri National Recreational
River, the 1,225-acre tract contains a diverse mix
of habitats that teem with fish and wildlife.
