This is a photo of my dad, Frank Barrett, who is currently 85
years old and still likes to fish at his cabin in Morse Bluff. Taken
in 1956, the catfish was the largest ever and was caught on the
Cedar River, north of Greeley off the Paxton Ranch bridge with
his brother-in-law, Joe Mahoney (deceased).
My mom (deceased) and dad grew up in Greeley and loved to
visit several times a year. My dad would take us to the bridge to
go swimming every summer. Great spring-fed river.

Pictured is Matt, Ronnie, Wayne (my dad) and Mike Mueller in

on the Missouri River south of Sioux City in 1978.

Two Holt County ranchers Larry Schafer and Lloyd Waldo
(my husband) bagged a couple Canada geese on a hunting
trip. They were best friends and shared many fun things in
their lifetime. Lloyd was an avid golfer but Larry did not share
that enthusiasm for the game. Photo was taken about 1979.
