PORTRAITS FROM THE PAST
I ran across the
attached photo of my
little brother Steve,
right, and me with
a pair of carp. The
photo is from 1967.
While it looks like we
hooked the carp, our
dad, Tony, shot them
while bowfishing.
Next to fishing, we
liked Batman most!

Lincoln
From left, my dad, Tom Eads; Bob Grier, former
Nebraskaland Magazine regional editor; Barry
Carlson; and Ozzie Randall in 1974. Bob and Barry
went rattlesnake hunting with my dad and neighbor
Ozzie. The article was in the August 1976 magazine
titled "The Viper's Den." My dad passed away five
years ago, and I have such memories of him and me
going snake hunting. In fact, I still live where this
photo was taken, and I still hunt with my kids.
