Day 2 A last group of friends, the Chins, made an appearance Sunday morning from Omaha, which wouldn't make much sense unless they were visiting a place like Ponca. Even though they'd be driving four hours between their trips to and from Ponca, they knew the possibilities of their day. Eleven-year-old George Chin pulled his tackle box from the car and, with Gavin, headed to the trout pond. Sister Grace teamed up with the other teenage girls and helped the younger kids make post- Halloween cookies, while a few of the adults went back to the education center to look at the Lewis and Clark display and watch various birds come to the feeders. Shortly after, it was back to the sled hill. We spent the rest of the afternoon flying down the hill on snowboards and sleds, our entire group laughing our way up and down, and up and down again. It never got old.
