Bullfrogging
Season opens Aug. 15
Statewide
Late summer nights in Nebraska are a perfect time to
go bullfrogging with friends and family, especially kids.
Greg Wagner writes: "An effective method to catch
a bunch of bullfrogs is to move slowly, shining the
shorelines with a good fl ashlight after dark. Spot the
frogs on land, keep the light directly on them so they'll
freeze in position, and then ease in close enough to
catch them with a net or even by hand." Take note that
bullfrogs are aquatic creatures, and thus you need a
current, valid Nebraska fi shing permit in order to take
or attempt to take them.
