Text may be edited and photos adjusted for reproduction. All photos will be returned. I am sending you this photo of turkey hunting around Atkinson, Nebraska, in 1967. Left to right are Pete, Randy Kruse, Bob Duennerman (myself), and Ernie. I cannot remember Pete and Ernie's last names, but they were Randy's cousins I believe. I am now living in Apple Valley, California, and am 83 years old, but was originally from Grand Island. – Bob Duennerman, Apple Valley, California ▲ This photo was taken on opening weekend 1959 southwest of Comstock on the farmstead where my mother grew up. Pictured are my grandfather Frank Janulewicz, my brothers Glenn and John, my father Wendell, and me. Bagged my first pheasant that day with my grandpa's Bay State single shot .410 shotgun. – Bruce Hovie, North Platte, Nebraska ▲ Bob Colling, right, and I display a limit of pheasants we harvested the last day of about 1969, north of Kearney. Bob was a professor of mathematics at, then, Kearney State College, and I was an assistant pastor at St. James Catholic Parish. Pheasants were abundant in those days, and we went on hunts whenever our schedules permitted. We lost Bob last year. He was a good teacher and parishioner, a wonderful family man and a faithful friend. Many fond memories remain. – Father Bernard Berger, Crawford, Nebraska ▲
