Workshops
Aug. 2, 16, 26
Various Locations
Pollinators – bees, butterflies,
beetles and other critters that
pollinate plants – are responsible
for one out of every three bites
of food we eat. They are also
worth nearly $20 billion to the
U.S. economy annually. At
these workshops, you'll learn
more about these fascinating
creatures, as well as how to
make a pollinator garden.

Ponca Tribe of Nebraska
Powwow
Aug. 14
Niobrara State Park
Traditionally, powwows celebrated the fall harvest, successful hunts,
and all the births, deaths and weddings of tribe members during the
previous year. They were also gathering places for relatives, friends
and other tribes. At this modern powwow, join with the Ponca Tribe of
Nebraska in celebrating their heritage. This family-friendly event will
include traditional drumming, dancing and singing, with the chance
for you to join in the festivities.
