Shooting Limits at County Line
Teal Hunting
As I was standing thigh-deep in the marsh, watching the stars
reluctantly give way to the pink in the eastern sky, I could hear ducks
in the distance calling out their greetings to a new day. I imagined
how many times this scene has played out before me: the human
hunter, waiting to take his game to feed his family and community. The
equipment may be different, but the ducks, the people and the sunrises
are still the same.
