62 NEBRASKAland • MARCH 2016 I was off duty and made a bad decision to break my diet and eat some fast food. After picking up my food, I decided to stop in nearby Eden Park in Lincoln to eat my lunch. As I pulled into the parking lot, I thought I saw a set of ears in a nearby storm drain. At first I pulled up close ... but nothing appeared. I was afraid I had been seeing things. I pulled farther back and waited about 10 seconds and there it was again. I pulled out my camera and marveled at what I was seeing, a red fox. Thank goodness for bad decisions. Dina Barta, NGPC Conservation Officer March 17, 2014 The Sewer Fox
